So, I am watching the Golden State Warriors play the Portland Trailblazers in the NBA Finals first round. The assistant coach, Mike Brown was asked a question as to why he was “knit-picking” on the little things when Golden State was so far head. They were up by more than thirty points. He said something pretty interesting. He said, and I’m paraphrasing, “we have to keep doing the little things consistently well in order for us to win.” Now mind you, they are already up three games to none and he was still insisting that they do the little things well.
Now take that to your business and personal life. Doing the little things well consistently will get you to a championship-type state in your business. It will keep you successful. Just doing the little things that got you there, well. Not giving up and not backing down just because you’re the leader of the pack. Just doing the little things well. That’s my take from the NBA game today.
